Question and answer CONTACT US AT 229 364-7129 or wailinwolves1@aol.com - Ask for Bert

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: WE can plan the entertainment completely. Just tell us the budget, dates and times and we can provide all the entertainment, food vendors, catering, and promo that you need.

Q: If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A: A band can make or break an event. If the music is too loud, not loud enough, not the right mix, not entertaining, not danceable a whole night can be either a success or a flop.

Q: What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A:What can you offer?
What is your experience?
What can you do to give me a specific complete quote of what my charges will be with no hidden charges applied later?

FIRST NATIONAL PRESS RELEASE FOR JOHNNY NEON"S "AMERICAN DREAM - PART 1"

1st national press release below :

THIS WILL BE AN AMAZING WORK - PLEASE FOLLOW ALL UPDATES FOR TOUR DATES AND RELEASES

Englewood, FL – Local talented musician, Johnny Neon, will be releasing his new album “American Dream – Part I” on Sunday, September 11, 2011.  American Dream is designed to be a rock-opera style production, which highlights a patriotic, non-political musical message with a modern rock sound.  Neon was inspired by Roger Water’s masterpiece “The Wall” of Pink Floyd Fame.  Neon’s new effort has captured a sound and feeling that is moving, inspirational, yet instantly familiar, infused with soothing melodies.  Neon is developing a full multimedia stage production, with film, laser lights, and pyrotechnics and is planning a tour in early 2012 as well.

Each track on the new album speaks to an aspect of what makes living in America great!  The musical arrangements and vocal mixes are very reminiscent of Robert Plant’s early 80’s solo efforts of Led Zeppelin fame, modern rockers Cold Play, and the track “Uncle Same” sounds like something you would find on  The Beatles “White Album”.

The official release of “American Dream – Part I” will be deliberately held on 9/11.  Neon hopes releasing his music on that day will help remind all of us that we do live in the greatest country in the world, in spite adversity, through our diversity, the United States of America is just as strong and united as we have ever been! The American Dream is still alive and well…

Songs like the title track, “American Dream”, as well as others like “Uncle Sam”, are destine to become instant classics, receiving airplay around the world.  It is Neon’s hope that his music helps to unite the country and becomes a positive force that all American’s can embrace.  The lyrics are patriotic, yet non-political, which going into a major election year, will appeal to Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and even The Tea Party people alike…

For more information on Johnny Neon, his new release “American Dream – Part I” on September 11, 2011, and to listen to some pre-release samples of the album, visit: www.JohnnyNeon.com. ;

For interviews or follow-ups contact Johnny Neon at PH: 941-343-3664 or email johnnyneon@gmail.com.

HOW TO PLAY AND SING THE BLUES
1. Most Blues begin with: "Woke up this morning..."
2. "I got a good woman" is a bad way to begin the Blues unless you stick something nasty in the next line like "I got a good woman with the meanest face in town."
3. The Blues is simple. After you get the first line right, repeat it. Then find something that rhymes, sort of: "Got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Yes, I got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Got teeth like Margaret Thatcher, and she weigh 500 pound."
4. The Blues is not about choice. You stuck in a ditch, you stuck in a ditch. There ain't no way out.
5. Blues cars: Chevys, Fords, Cadillacs and broken-down trucks. Blues don't travel in Volvos, BMWs, or SUVs. Most Blues transportation is a Greyhound bus or a southbound train. Jet aircraft and state-sponsored motor pools ain't even in the running. Walkin' plays a major part in the blues lifestyle. So does fixin' to die.
6. Teenagers can't sing the Blues. They ain't fixin' to die yet. Adults sing the Blues. In Blues, "adulthood" means being old enough to get the electric chair if you shoot a man in Memphis.
7. Blues can take place in New York City but not in Hawaii or anyplace in Canada. Hard times in Minneapolis or Seattle is probably just clinical depression. Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City are still great places to have the Blues. You cannot have the blues anyplace that don't get rain.
8. A man with male pattern baldness ain't the Blues. A woman with male pattern baldness is. Breaking your leg 'cause you were skiing is not the blues. Breaking your leg 'cause a alligator be chomping on it is.
9. You can't have no Blues in a office or a shopping mall. The lighting is wrong. Go out to the parking lot or sit by the dumpster.
10. Good places for the Blues:
a. highway
b. jailhouse
c. empty bed
d. bottom of a whiskey glass
Bad places for the Blues:
a. Nordstrom's
b. gallery openings
c. Ivy League colleges
d. golf courses
11. No one will believe it's the Blues if you wear a suit, 'less you happen to be an old ethnic person, and you slept in it.
12. Do you have the right to sing the Blues?
Yes, if:
a. you older than dirt
b. you blind
c. you shot a man in Memphis
d. you can't be satisfied
No, if:
a. you have all your teeth
b. you were once blind but now can see
c. the man in Memphis lived
d. you have a 401K or trust fund
13. Blues is not a matter of color. It's a matter of bad luck. Tiger Woods cannot sing the blues. Sonny Liston could. Ugly white people also got a leg up on the blues.
14. If you ask for water and your darlin' give you gasoline, it's the Blues. Other acceptable Blues beverages are:
a. cheap wine
b. whiskey or bourbon
c. muddy water
d. nasty black coffee
The following are NOT Blues beverages:
a. Perrier
b. Chardonnay
c. Snapple
d. Slim Fast
15. If death occurs in a cheap motel or a shotgun shack, it's a Blues death. Stabbed in the back by a jealous lover is another Blues way to die. So are the electric chair, substance abuse and dying lonely on a broken-down cot. You can't have a Blues death if you die during a tennis match or while getting liposuction.
16. Some Blues names for women:
a. Sadie
b. Big Mama
c. Bessie
d. Fat River Dumpling
17. Some Blues names for men:
a. Joe
b. Willie
c. Little Willie
d. Big Willie
18. Persons with names like Amber, Jennifer, Tiffany, Debbie, and Heather can't sing the Blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis.
19. Make your own Blues name Starter Kit:
a. name of physical infirmity (Blind, Cripple, Lame, etc.)
b. first name (see above) plus name of fruit (Lemon, Lime, etc..)
c. last name of President (Jefferson, Johnson, Fillmore, etc.)
Examples: Blind Lime Jefferson, Jackleg Lemon Johnson.
20. No matter how tragic your life, if you own a computer you cannot sing the blues

The Wailin’ Wolves Band

The Wailin’ Wolves Band is rapidly becoming one of the most popular and called for bands in the N. Fl./ S. Ga. area. They have moved up quickly on the charts on Reverbnation web site(the #1 site for musicians in the country), currently at #1 in Tallahassee, Fl. and Thomasville, Ga. and #49 in the nation in blues genre. They are a very versatile band playing Blues, Rock, Classic Rock, R & B, & Alternative, peppered with some awesome Originals. They will keep you up and dancing through the whole show.

The Wailin’ Wolves Band was founded in 2008 by Shaw From, a local businessman and Tallahassee resident, who plays a blistering Blues harmonica and sings some of the most soulful vocals ever. Shaw was raised in NYC and was brought up musically learning classical piano from an early age. He grew up listening to many of the blues greats such as Junior Wells, Magic Slim, BB King, Jimmy Reed, Slim Harpo, and numerous others and grew to have a great love and admiration for that style of music. He took his musical training and utilized it in creating an incredible harmonica style that has placed him on stages with some of the most popular touring artists.

Bert Calderon has been playing guitar since the age of 13. He grew up in Chicago, was raised in New York, went to college in Texas, lived in S. Fl. for 35 years until relocating up to S. Ga./ Tallahassee area in 2008. Soon after he met Shaw and joined The Wailin’ Wolves Band. Bert has number of years of guitar playing and has been in bands since the age of 15. He has opened up for and shared stages with the popular bands such as The Young Rascals, the Butterfield Blues Band, The Blues Project, Leslie West, Carmine Appice, Randall "Big Daddy Blues" Webster, Jeff Conaway, Spirit, and numerous others. He has played at the famous Cafe Wah and Cafe Au Go Go in the village, Cheers, Shelby and Ira's, Mr. Laffs, The Orange Bowl, Joe Robbie Stadium, Brooklyn Academy Of Music, Corpus Christi Stadium, Ted Mack Amateur Hour, Southern Music Rising Festival, Bradfordville Blues Club, Earth Day Jam Tallahassee, Pridefest 2011, W.A.V.E. Benefit, Celebrate America Festival Tallahassee, Eddy Teach's Raw Bar, Six Shooter Saloon, American Legion Hall Post #13, Breakers Pub, Big Guns BBQ, Dux Liquors, The Plaza Restaurant and Lounge, Shooters Billiards, Boston’s On The Beach, Memories Blues Club, The Covey Lounge, numerous clubs in Fl and NY, and college campuses, amongst many other well-known stages.  He has written and recorded a number of songs and plays bass, lead and rhythm guitar and sings backup vocals as well. He has been in bands since his younger years and is a seasoned performer who often does band management, booking, organizing, and performance set up.

Melissa Ann Wood is an experienced vocalist and songwriter with a great vocal range and energetic stage presence. She adds a great dimension to our music. Her vocal style is unique and she has created her own definitive sound. Melissa can go from soft and sweet to bluesy and raspy. She has the right combination of soul and sweetness in her voice that makes her a #1 choice for our band. We are pleased to announce that after being away for a few months she has returned to head up the vocals for The Wailin’ Wolves Band. Her dedication and great love for music motivates the band to great heights of achievement and musical expertise.

Matt Simpson is an experienced singer and songwriter, having played on many stages and has been a very active philanthropist, playing for many great causes. He adds an acoustic/ Americana style to the band and is the founder of Simpleman Music/ The Bruised Grass Band. Internationally known Matthew Warren Simpson, Georgia born in 1971 - Florida Native "Simpleman"© is a Musician, Singer-Songwriter, Music Producer and Sound Engineer, Humanitarian and Activist who has been in the Tallahassee, North Florida - South Georgia music scene for over 30 years. Owner of record label and studio, Simpleman Music, he has taken on a variety of cd productions including church projects and personal friends' passions.

A lover of music and everything about it, Simpleman is a Musicologist. Music In & Out. There are very few of his kind left these days with so much electronic garbage being passed off as music, Simpson and the band try to keep their eye on what is real.... real music.

Shawn Scott is a dynamic, versatile, thumpin' percussionist playing everything from rock to reggae, from blues to soul, and even gospel as well. He is by far one of the best drummers in N.Fl. / S. Ga area. We are proud to have him as a member of our band. Shawn maintains a very strong bottom end with the bass keeping our fans dancing all night long. We also have a second drummer, Fran Flores, who has just joined our band recently. At times we use dual drummers or we use them alternately depending on availability. Fran is a dedicated musician living out his dream.

Curtis Salmon and Jerry Roberts hold up our bass needs. Both are experienced professionals and alternate gigs as availability dictates. They are both well-known musicians in the area and do an amazing job of giving us the sound we want from funky, driving bass to sweet blues to rock ‘n roll walks up and down the bass.

The band has a great diversity in their music that helps create their sound making the Wailin' Wolves Band gain in popularity every show. Every show we put in 110% and promise a high energy, rocking show!
